Yesterday started the Italian Motor Valley Experience 2024 Summer School

From 14 to 27 July 2024, the fifth edition of the MUNER Italian Motor Valley Experience Summer School will take place at the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia).

This intensive summer programme brings together 30 young talents from the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, India and the United Arab Emirates to explore the forefront of automotive technology and culture.

The programme was launched on 15 July with a visit from Consul Daniela Ballard of the US Consulate General in Florence, who welcomed the participants together with Prof. Carlo Adolfo Porro, Rector of Unimore.

Prof. Francesco Leali, President of the Faculty of Engineering of Unimore, presented the activities of MUNER and highlighted the research collaborations of the Faculty with American institutions. The visit concluded with a demonstration at MOST – Centro Nazionale per la Mobilità Sostenibile (National Centre for Sustainable Mobility).

The 30 participants will engage in seminars, workshops and factory visits to renowned automotive companies such as Dallara, Ducati, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. These experiences will be complemented by lectures focusing on mechanical engineering, automotive trends and specialised hands-on labs.

The programme aims to build an international bridge and enhance the skills and knowledge of promising young engineers in the ever-evolving automotive sector.

The final round table, scheduled for 26 July at the Tecnopolo in Modena, will focus on the essential skills for future engineers and will be attended by representatives from AVL, Bosch, CNH Industrial, HPE GROUP and Pirelli.

The event will conclude with the presentation of certificates of attendance.
