MUNER patronizes 7th IEEE Workshop on Electrical Machines Design, Control, and Diagnosis, promoting innovation and sustainability

MUNER – the Motorvehicle University of Emilia-Romagna – is honored to support the 7th IEEE Workshop on Electrical Machine Design, Control, and Diagnostics (WEMDCD).

This prestigious international conference, to be held in Valletta, Malta, on April 9-10, 2025, is organized in collaboration between the University of Malta, and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia

Sponsored by IEEE’s Industrial Electronics Society (IES) and co-sponsored by the Industry Applications Society (IAS), WEMDCD 2025 is an important platform for discussing advances in electrical machine design, particularly relevant to the automotive, aerospace, and marine industries.

This edition of WEMDCD will emphasize sustainable practices, with a green-oriented approach that minimizes paper usage and optimizes recycling throughout the conference.

One of the technical tracks will be dedicated to sustainable technologies under the theme “Sustainable Machines and Drives for Industrial and Transportation Applications”.

Notably, the event will feature the Women in Transport Best Paper Award, which encourages female representation in the industry. The winner will be invited to present at the MUNER 2025 Summer School – Women in Transport, endorsed by MUNER’s Gender and Diversity Empowerment Committee and the Women in Transport EU platform.

MUNER’s involvement is in line with our commitment to promoting sustainable mobility and inclusivity within the automotive industry, and will provide participants with a unique opportunity to share knowledge and foster innovation in this evolving field.
