MUNER DRIVES CHANGE: The start of the journey towards inclusiveness in STEM
On December 6, 2024, MUNER – Motorvehicle University of Emilia Romagna officially launched MUNER DRIVES CHANGE, an educational initiative dedicated to promoting gender inclusiveness in STEM fields.
The inaugural event, entitled “The Journey Begins: Inclusive Perspectives in STEM Fields“, was held at Tecnopolo di Modena.
The event featured philosopher and educator Lorenzo Gasparrini, who delivered an engaging talk on the gender biases and stereotypes present in our society, with a specific focus on the automotive and STEM fields.
Designed by our Gender and Diversity Empowerment Committee, this event marks the beginning of a groundbreaking educational initiative designed to empower both students and faculty members by enhancing their personal and professional skills in the area of inclusivity.
In a rapidly evolving industry, such initiatives are essential. They spark important conversations and raise awareness about inclusivity and diversity, which are critical to creating a more equitable workplace and society. While it may take time to see tangible results, engaging in these discussions is a critical step in driving meaningful change in this fields-and beyond.
