Learning from industry: Vimi Fasteners hosts technical workshop for MUNER students at Dallara Academy
Students enrolled in the Racing Car Design curriculum of MUNER recently participated in a technical workshop dedicated to high-performance fastening systems, hosted at Dallara Academy and delivered by Vimi Fasteners.
The session was led by Marco Sargenti, CEO of Vimi Fasteners, and Elia Bianco, General Manager, who introduced students to the engineering principles behind the design and application of fastening solutions developed for high-performance automotive and motorsport applications.
The workshop provided an overview of the technical challenges associated with fastening systems, highlighting their critical role in ensuring reliability, safety and performance in demanding operating conditions. Through real-world industrial examples, students had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of a highly specialised field that plays a key role in vehicle engineering.
Initiatives such as this are an integral part of MUNER’s educational approach, which combines academic excellence with direct engagement with leading companies in the Motor Valley ecosystem. By bringing students into contact with experienced professionals and real industrial case studies, these activities help bridge the gap between theory and practice while preparing future engineers for the challenges of the automotive sector.
MUNER thanks Dallara Academy for hosting the workshop and Vimi Fasteners for its valuable contribution to the educational experience of our students.
