Italian Motor Valley Experience 2025: 30 international students exploring the future of mobility in Modena
The 6th edition of the Italian Motor Valley Experience Summer School is underway in Modena, bringing together 30 outstanding high school students from around the world for two immersive weeks in the beating heart of the Motor Valley.
Hosted by the Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari” at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, this residential program offers a unique opportunity to dive into automotive engineering, innovation, and Italian culture — all in the homeland of iconic brands such as Ferrari, Pagani, Ducati, and Dallara.
The program features a dynamic blend of academic sessions, company visits, lab experiences, and cultural activities. In the first week, students explored topics such as:
- Powertrain control
- Noise and vibrations
- Composite materials
- Structural component dimensioning
- They also enjoyed guided tours of Modena, a traditional pasta-making workshop in Castelfranco Emilia, and a full-day trip to Florence.
As the second week begins, the experience shifts gears with an even more intense schedule:
- Lectures on EV powertrains and aerodynamics
- Hands-on labs in CAD and additive manufacturing
- Company visits to Ferrari, Ducati, Pagani, and Dallara
- A final roundtable with HR representatives from MUNER partner companies, focused on soft and hard skills for future engineers
Among the participants, two students were awarded scholarships by the Summer School organization, while one student received the MUNER & Innovation Farm scholarship, dedicated to participants in the 2025 edition of the STEM RACING ITALY project.
The Italian Motor Valley Experience continues to be a powerful initiative to inspire young minds and connect them with the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow’s mobility industry.
Stay tuned for the final highlights!
