MUNER DRIVES CHANGE: a new beginning for MUNER’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion journey

After a successful first edition that brought together students, faculty, and industry professionals to explore inclusive perspectives in STEM and the automotive sector, MUNER DRIVES CHANGE returns with a renewed format for the academic year 2025.

Designed by the MUNER Gender and Diversity Empowerment Committee as a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) onboarding program for first-year students and faculty, MUNER DRIVES CHANGE aims to promote awareness, openness, and respect across the MUNER community — continuing to drive change within and beyond the classroom.

The new cycle will open on November 24, 2025, at the Bologna DAMA Technopole, with the lecture “Gender Stereotypes in Automotive Visual Culture” by Prof. Pasquale Fameli (Associate Professor at the Department of the Arts, University of Bologna), followed by an HR Round Table on Recruiting & Careers held by MUNER’s partner companies, Pirelli and Dallara.

The program will then continue in December with two further sessions hosted at the Modena Technopole:

• December 11, 2025 – from 16:00 to 18:00
  “Gender Alliances in the Fight Against Injustice”
  Irene Facheris, expert trainer in Gender Studies and writer
• December 18, 2025 – from 9:00 to 12:00
  “From Values to Culture: DE&I as a Driver of Business and Social Innovation”
  Antonella Gioia, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility – Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.
  • HR Round Table: DE&I & Soft Skills

Through this initiative, MUNER continues to invest in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion as a key component of engineering education, preparing future professionals to lead innovation with a deeper understanding of social responsibility and inclusive culture.
