Electric Mobility & Skills: Training for the Motor Valley

On 19 November 2025, MUNER, in collaboration with UnimoreFondazione di ModenaECCO Think TankCNA Modena, and Fondazione Democenter, hosted the event “Electric Mobility and Training: Skills and Innovation for the Motor Valley” at the Botanical Garden of Modena.

The event began with institutional greetings from Giovanna Galli (Deputy Rector, Unimore), Silvia Menabue (Board Member, Fondazione di Modena), Andrea Bortolamasi (Councillor, Comune di Modena), and Vincenzo Colla (Vice President, Emilia-Romagna Region), followed by the presentation of project results by Giulia Tagliazzucchi (Researcher, Unimore) and Massimiliano Bienati (ECCO Think Tank).

roundtable discussion with industry and academic experts explored the competencies required for the electric transition, highlighting the need for interdisciplinary knowledgedigital skills, and soft skills such as teamwork, proactivity, and problem-solving. Participants included:

Moderated by Prof. Gianluca Marchi (Unimore), the event confirmed the importance of a systemic approach to training in the Motor Valley, where universities, research centers, and companies work together to drive sustainable innovation in the automotive sector.

The project “Electric Mobility, Employment and Training: Perspectives for the Transition in the Motor Valley” has provided insights into the skills and professional profiles needed to support the region’s technological transition, from manufacturing and maintenance to organizational innovation and digitalization.

Muner University in collaboration with
