MUNER students visit Fondazione Gino Macaluso

A full day dedicated to motorsport heritage and engineering culture, featuring the seminar “Lancia Delta Safari: the making of a legend.”

On October 31, around 40 students from all MUNER degree programmes visited Fondazione Gino Macaluso, taking part in a day that blended education, heritage, and innovation — a tradition that continues to strengthen the connection between MUNER and the history of Italian automotive excellence.

The visit opened with the seminar “Lancia Delta Safari: the making of a legend”, led by Miki BiasionWorld Rally Champion in 1988 and 1989, and Vittorio RobertiHead of Delta Rally development.
Through their insights, students explored the technical and human story behind one of the most iconic cars in rally history.

The day continued with a guided tour of the Foundation’s unique collection — a journey through decades of motorsport culture, design, and engineering mastery.
Accompanied by Professor Saverio Giulio Barbieri, students experienced firsthand how the passion and ingenuity that shaped the past of our territory continue to inspire the engineers of tomorrow.
